Valentine’s Day is here. Today. Right now. Are you still looking for a gift for that someone special in your life? Or do you want to give a little extra on this romantic holiday? Or perhaps you want to lead by example by helping others on this international day of love? Or maybe your Valentine already has everything they want? Or you could be someone who thinks it’s a holiday created by greeting card companies and you don’t go for the commercialism that comes with it? If you said “yes” to one or more of the above scenarios, then I have a stress-free solution to resolve all your issues: Give a charitable gift this Valentine’s Day. For these items, most times, you can make a charitable donation in your love’s name and then print out an e-card or other message offered. You can add this to an existing gift or give it on its own. A good idea if you’re really down to the wire would be to run to a Walgreens or CVS (some kind of pharmacy type place), grab a tiny box of chocolates and/or tiny teddy bear, put it together with the charitable gift message/print-out into a pretty gift bag (add tissue paper if possible to pretty it up), which will make the presentation lovely and not make it seem like you wait til the last minute. See below for our list of Last-Minute Charitable Gift Ideas For Valentine’s Day.

| Valentine’s Day: Send Paul McCartney’s ‘My Valentine’ To Your Love For Free |

This Valentine’s Day, Paul McCartney‘s official site has set up an area where fans can send his song, “My Valentine,” to a loved one along with a personalized message. You can write your own sentiments or choose one of the selections in the suggested messages area of the form. Your Valentine will then receive an email telling them that the song has been sent to them from an admirer. They can then click on the button in the email to be directed to McCartney’s site to receive the message and listen to the song. But, to discover who the message is from, they need to send the “My Valentine” song to their Valentine (well, this could get awkward). The song is from the former Beatles legend’s 2012 album Kisses on the Bottom, a collection of McCartney covering his favorite standards from his children (such as “Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate The Positive”) along with two new originals he recorded that fit this genre.

| 13 Things You Didn’t Know About The ‘Friday The 13th’ Films |

It’s that wonderful time of year. The time where you grab on to someone special, look deep into their eyes”¦ and STAB THEM WITH A MACHETE!!! Wait, you thought I meant Valentine’s Day? No, No, No, it’s Friday the 13th today! Actually, this is an extra special year for Friday the 13th fans, as we get a double dose of sex, summer camp, and all-out slaughter again in March! It all started back on a seemingly calm summer in 1980, when producer/director Sean Cunningham began filming Friday the 13th, what would become the first of 12 (!!!) films in the most prolific horror franchise of all time. There’s a 13th film planned for next year (a reboot of the remake?!). There are also two documentaries (Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History Of Friday The 13; His Name Was Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th) and an all-encompassing book about the series called Crystal Lake Memories. The original would set a bar that each sequel aimed to overdo, raising the levels of nudity and gory violence. The franchise would also introduce one of the biggest icons of horror, a killer who is firmly entrenched on the Mt. Rushmore of Slashers, Jason Voorhees. In the 12 films in the series, Jason would drown, get shot, stabbed, axed, hanged, chainsawed, blown up, frozen, electrocuted, sent to Hell, blasted to outer space, and sent to battle Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund). But none of that could stop him, prompting an hilarious meme, touting “I don’t always die, but when I do, I don’t!” Jason tops all modern movie killers in, well, kills. Part of what makes the Friday the 13th franchise a favorite amongst horror-philes is the ever-growing body count, which according to several internet sites is now at 158!!! That tops Halloween‘s Michael Myers and Nightmare on Elm Street’s Freddy combined! But I bet you want more”¦ more blood, more bodies, more weapons. Well, hopefully I can enlighten you. Here are 13 things you might not have known about one of horror’s greatest franchises”¦ummm”¦spoiler alert”¦

The Big Hero 6 star, who accepted the award from his home in San Fransokyo, humbly attributed the win to his “non-threatening, huggable design” and reportedly plans on giving and receiving hugs from all throughout the year.
