The Book Of Life movie still

We had a lot of fun last night at the The Book Of Life Fiesta on Twitter hosted by director Jorge Gutierrez to celebrate the film’s release in Digital HD.

Now, The Book Of Life will take part this Sunday in the 45th Annual Three Kings Day Parade in Little Havana, Miami! The route for the parade, which is from 12-2pm, will go down Calle Ocho along Southwest 8th street, from 4th to 17th Avenues.

While the digital version of the film, which features the voices of Zoe Saldana, Channing Tatum, Diego Luna, Christina Applegate, Ice Cube, Ron Perlman, and Kate del Castillo, is already available, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will release the Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, and DVD on January 27, 2015.

Netflix Madagascar King Julien New Year's Eve Countdown to 2015

New Year’s Eve is tomorrow, so if you want to ring in the New Year with your very little ones, but don’t want them to stay up til the stroke of midnight, Netflix has a solution for you.

Netflix has created an on-demand New Year’s Eve Countdown program on their streaming service that can be watched beforehand, because from what I understand there are people who on New Year’s Eve fool their small children into thinking it’s midnight earlier than when it is, so that they’ll go to sleep on time.

The Netflix countdown is a 3-minute short featuring King Julien, the star of their new series All Hail King Julien, a spin-off of DreamWorks Animations’ Madagascar film. The Countdown is available right now in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, UK, Ireland, the Nordics, the Netherlands, and France.

Neighborhood Christmas Lights Show

If you’ve ever been on the internet (that’s this fancy doodad you’re using now), you’ve more than likely seen a video of a house synchronizing their holiday lights and decorations to music. We’ve seen it done using video game music; we’ve seen it done for non-Christmas holidays like Halloween; we’ve seen some good, hard metal used; and, most recently, we’ve seen a very cool Star Wars-themed lights show.

On this Christmas Eve we have for you just some lights set to Christmas music. That may sound a bit boring, sure, but the catch here is that an entire neighborhood got in on the action and synced all of their lights together. They filmed the results using a drone, and then capped it all off with a pretty spectacular little holiday celebration that will make you wish you lived there. All that’s missing is some good snow falling.

You can see all of the videos below.
