| ‘The Ring’: Watch A Trailer For Original ‘Ringu’ Director’s Latest Entry ‘Sadako’
Back in 1998 the Japanese horror film Ringu, or Ring, was released. It was directed by Hideo Nakata and based on author Koji Suzuki‘s 1991 novel of the same name, which was the first in a series of books. Multiple adaptations of Suzuki’s stories have come and gone over the years, including Ringu 2/Ring 2 (also directed by Nakata) in 1999. The tales inspired an American version, 2002’s The Ring, which was followed by The Ring Two (once again directed by Nakata) in 2005, and Rings in 2017. Now Nakata is back for another round. The latest entry in the series is titled Sadako—named after the primary antagonist of the series (known to fans here in the States as Samara)—and a trailer for the movie was recently shared. You can find more info and give the trailer a watch below.
