This past December we found out that Disney was moving forward with a sequel to the box office giant Alice in Wonderland, which scored over $1 billion, bringing back screenwriter Linda Woolverton to work on a sequel for the movie.
At the time, it was unclear whether or not director Tim Burton or stars like Johnny Depp or Mia Wasikowska would be back, and we’re still not sure about most of those names. What we do know is that Burton will not be directing—though it’s unclear if he might return as a producer or not.
Instead, Disney has hired James Bobin to direct the sequel, which is currently going under the working title Into the Looking Glass.
