CBS has plans to bring two films to the small screen with TV adaptations for Limitless, the 2011 thriller starring Bradley Cooper, Robert DeNiro, and Abbie Cornish, and Rush Hour, the 1998 buddy cop actioner starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, according to The Wrap, which added that the network also recently ordered pilots for several other original series.
The Limitless TV drama will be a sequel to the film, which starred Cooper as Eddie, a struggling writer whose memory and intelligence is expanded after he takes a mysterious pill. The project will be executive produced by Cooper, his Limitless director Neil Berger, and his Hangover director Todd Phillips, as well as produced by Relativity’s Ryan Kavanaugh and Tucker Tooley.
