Fishnets. Fishnets everywhere. That’s what I was expecting when I started reading Black Canary and Zatanna: Bloodspell. Because come on, both of these lovely ladies are well known for their wardrobes. Turns out I was wrong, but I’m okay with that. What I got was a great story that showed the characters’ befriending one another in the past and how well they can work together in the present.

This isn’t your average DC Comics tale, my friends. Read on to find out what makes this one different.

Katie Cassidy has been announced as the lead female role in CW’s Green Arrow pilot, Arrow, as none other than Dinah Lance. Perfect….

In case you can’t tell, I’m elated with this news. Cassidy has been named as Dinah Lance. To those unaware, Dinah Lance is also known to those of comic book fans as Black Canary, the main love interest and super heroine bad-ass with super sonic voice. Now, will Black Canary actually show up in the show? I certainly hope so, but it’s just as likely that they will keep her as one of the city’s attorneys. Either way, I think Cassidy is a fantastic choice.
