So far on The Last Man On Earth season 2, Carol and Phil (Kristen Schaal and Will Forte) wandered the country for a bit, but Carol never seemed satisfied. After losing track of each other, they reunited in Tucson, to find Phil’s house burnt to the ground, and the gang relocated to Malibu. They follow, phil proving his sincere love for Carol. After Carol scares their new addition to death (guest star Will Ferrell), she tries to garner sympathy for Phil by saying he’s dead. When that doesn’t work, Phil, I mean Tandy, threatens them with a gun to get them to like him. Hmm… why doesn’t that work? Phil takes his punishment, which includes a stockade and shock therapy. We have only gotten one episode that shows Jason Sudeikis as Tandy’s space stranded astronaut brother. Oh, and Todd (Mel Rodriguez) is hiding a dark secret.

Caught up? Good. Some spoilers below on this funny little weirdo of a show.

The gang is back together! Last week after a silly game of let’s-pretend-Tandy-died-to-get-some-sympathy, Carol (Kristen Schaal) finally confessed that Phil (Will Forte) was alive. She was willing to leave if they did not accept him. So they did… and punished him by locking him in a stockade (where did they even get that?).

Some spoilers below.

The Last Man On Earth
Season 2 Episode 3: “Dead Man Walking”

Starring Will Forte, January Jones, Kristen Schaal, Mel Rodriguez, Cleopatra Coleman, Mary Steenburgen, Boris Kodjoe
FOX
Air Date: Sunday, October 11th, 2015, 9:30pm

Last week was one of my favorite The Last Man On Earth episodes ever. Phil (Will Forte) had accidentally left Carol (Kristen Schaal) at a gas station, and couldn’t find her. Carol waited, mirroring Phil’s apocalyptic beginning. He was so desperate to find her, he went to Tucson even though it would mean his death (they burned down his house). He came up with a genius idea to spray paint a train with a message to her. And it worked! Phil had a Tandi moment when he found a note from the gang that they went to Malibu. Since they didnt want Phil, he hid it… for a little while. But his love for Carol overcame that, and soon they headed out. Carol went to feel out the gang, jumped out and screamed, “Boo!” And killed Will Ferrell.

Spoilers below.

Starring Will Forte, January Jones, Kristen Schaal, Mel Rodriguez, Cleopatra Coleman, Mary Steenburgen, Boris Kodjoe, Jason Sudeikis
FOX
Air Date: Sunday, October 4th, 2015, 9:30pm

The Last Man On Earth returned last week for their 2nd season, after being one of the breakout hits during their first. Phil Miller (Will Forte) had been banished by the residents of Tucson, after being the founder in a post-virus world. Phil #2 threatened to kill him if he ever showed his face again. Carol (Kristen Schaal), his ex-wife, decided to leave with him (#1), even though she loved her friends Melissa, Todd, Phil Miller #2, Erica, and Gail (January Jones, Mel Rodriguez, Boris Kodjoe, Cleopatra Coleman, and Mary Steenburgen). And somewhere in space, Phil #1’s brother (Jason Sudeikis) is stuck and alone. Last week, after some fun in the White House, Phil and Carol got into a big fight, and after he accidentally left her at a gas station, he could not remember which one. So he braved death, went to Tucson… and found nothing (except his burnt down house).

Beware of slight spoilers for tonight’s episode below.

The Last Man On Earth‘s 2nd season premieres tonight and it’s a whole different ballgame now. At the end of last season, Phil Miller (Will Forte) had been banished from Tucson by its 6 other residents. New Phil Miller (Boris Kodjoe) had taken him there rather roughly. Carol (Kristen Schaal) returned to him because they belonged together. That was a fist pumping in the air, “Yeah!” moment. They drove off. Cut to: space and Jason Sudeikis is an astronaut named Miller who’s searching for life on Earth from his space station.

Spoilers below!
