So far on The Last Man On Earth season 2, Carol and Phil (Kristen Schaal and Will Forte) wandered the country for a bit, but Carol never seemed satisfied. After losing track of each other, they reunited in Tucson, to find Phil’s house burnt to the ground, and the gang relocated to Malibu. They follow, phil proving his sincere love for Carol. After Carol scares their new addition to death (guest star Will Ferrell), she tries to garner sympathy for Phil by saying he’s dead. When that doesn’t work, Phil, I mean Tandy, threatens them with a gun to get them to like him. Hmm… why doesn’t that work? Phil takes his punishment, which includes a stockade and shock therapy. We have only gotten one episode that shows Jason Sudeikis as Tandy’s space stranded astronaut brother. Oh, and Todd (Mel Rodriguez) is hiding a dark secret.

Caught up? Good. Some spoilers below on this funny little weirdo of a show.

Crickets are the topic of the day! They are running out of food, so Carol makes cricket casserole. Yummy! Think about the grossest way crickets can be presented in gloppy liquid, multiply that by 3, and it still won’t be as disgusting as what was presented at dinner.

Melissa (January Jones) cuts herself on a can, so her and Gail’s (Mary Steenburgen) little sidebar is drunk Gail giving Melissa stitches. Carol can’t take it. Blood makes her want to puke.

Carol finally gets through to Erica (Cleopatra Coleman) that she is not the enemy. It really bothers Carol that Erica’s eye rolling at her has been so bad, she needs “some butter” with it. Blaming the guy is what she should be doing. Finally, Phil #2 (Boris Kodjoe) is put in his place. His sucking up to Carol was nauseating.

The deep, dark secret that Todd has been hiding is bacon. Worth it! Now Phil is in on it. He tries to make Todd a hero, but you know Phil. If it can be messed up, it will be messed up. Who puts garbage on a running jet ski?

This episode made me super happy, as Carol and Melissa reaffirm their bestie status, Carol and Erica did not let a stupid man get between them, and Tandy Phil finally got a little redemption and his friend back. The last scene was the best.

Tandy makes the worst jokes ever. They are so bad, they make me laugh.

Boom.

Still waiting for Jason Sudekis.

The Last Man On Earth airs 9:30pm ET on FOX.
