The next beer in the Game of Thrones-inspired line currently being produced by Brewery Ommegang has been revealed. Just like the first two, the third is inspired by the hit HBO show. It’s called Fire and Blood Red Ale, and is inspired by House Targaryen…more specifically, Daenerys Targaryen and her dragons.

Instead of one special label, this beer will come with one of three possible labels, each featuring one of the three dragons, Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion.

Last month, we told you about Take the Black Stout, the second Game Of Throne-themed beer (the first, Iron Throne Ale, was released in March).

Over the weekend during San Diego Comic-Con, HBO and Brewery Ommegang hosted a special advanced tasting of the upcoming limited edition beer, and announced that the brew will launch nationwide through bars, restaurants, grocery, and beverage stores in mid- to late-September. It will be available on draft and in 750ml bottles, with the retail price of $8.50 per bottle.

Take the Black Stout is inspired by the men of The Night’s Watch, including Jon Snow, who “take the Black” to guard The Wall and protect the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros from their enemies in the North. The Take The Black Stout’s label features the sacred Weirwood tree where Jon Snow and other followers of the old gods take their oaths to the Night’s Watch.

Back in December we got our first peek at the first in the announced line of Game of Thrones-themed beers—a blonde ale called Iron Throne—being created by Brewery Ommegang in New York.

Now comes our first look at the second beer in the line, which is set to arrive sometime this fall. The second beer is a stout called Take the Black, inspired of course by the Night’s Watch and the oath that seals their lifetime commitment to the protectors of the realm of Westeros. It will be 7% alcohol by volume.

You can check out what the next beer will look like, including the special label it will wear that was designed by a52, the same studio that designed the title for the HBO show’s opening credits.

Recently we shared the fantastic news that a line of Game of Thrones beers were on the way to our eager mouths, the first of which is a blonde ale called Iron Throne. The beer will launch sometime in March to match up with around the time season 3 of the show begins, which is March 31st.

If you can’t wait that long, this first picture of what that initial beer will look like is not going to help you taste it any sooner. But still, it’s a mighty fine looking bottle o’ brew!
