Game of Thrones, Tyrion Image

Recently we shared the fantastic news that a line of Game of Thrones beers were on the way to our eager mouths, the first of which is a blonde ale called Iron Throne. The beer will launch sometime in March to match up with around the time season 3 of the show begins, which is March 31st.

If you can’t wait that long, this first picture of what that initial beer will look like is not going to help you taste it any sooner. But still, it’s a mighty fine looking bottle o’ brew!

Continue below now to see what a bottle of Game of Thrones beer looks like.

Of this first beer, the brewmaster at Ommegang Brewery tasked with creating the line, Phil Leinhart, had this to say:

“It made us approach development in a completely new way and I think the first edition Iron Throne reveals that. With a Lannister currently on the throne, it made sense to do a delicate, but piercing Golden Blonde Ale with Noble hops. Iron Throne is certainly fair in color and soft in appearance, yet it still possesses a complexity and bite to be on guard for.”

What do you think? How does it look?
