| Fox Confirms Bryan Singer To Direct ‘X-Men’ TV Pilot
In just a couple of weeks Fox will air their quasi-X-Men spinoff TV series, Legion. The show, starring Dan Stevens and Aubrey Plaza, does not take place in the same universe as the one seen in the film franchise. However, the one being created by Matt Nix (Burn Notice) does. The untitled show will center on a world where people hate mutants and sentinels exist. Now it’s been announced that a pilot for that show has been ordered, and more details are coming out about it along with confirmation that longtime X-Men film director Bryan Singer will helm the pilot. | Next X-Men Film Could Launch Mutants Into Space
After exploring major events through respective decades on Earth, the next X-Men film, which is said to take place during the 1990s, could take the mutant superheroes to a place where no X-Men has gone before: space. Bryan Singer, who is still on the X-Men: Apocalypse promotional tour – read our review of the film here – has talked a little bit about where the sequel could go. Given that First Class took place in the 60s, Days Of Future Past in the 70s, and Apocalypse in the 80s, obviously the 90s would be that next logical choice. But it should be interesting what major event of that decade the film decides to use to move the plot, but if what Singer says is true, then it’s quite possible that the X-Men could find themselves in the final frontier dealing and contending with a force unlike anything they have ever seen before. More on the story here below.

This process is slow, and normally taking thousands and thousands of years. But every few hundred millennia, evolution leaps forward.” If there’s one thing director Bryan Singer achieves with X-Men: Apocalypse, it’s channeling the excess and indulgence of the 1980s. The ninth installment in the X-Men series has too much of everything, including thinly written characters, stale end-of-the-world scenarios, and overblown CGI annihilation.
