Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Official Grimoire: A Magickal History of Sunnydale
Hardcover
By A.M. Robinson, Willow Rosenberg
Publisher: Insight Editions
Release Date: October 24, 2017 It’s been only five months since Buffy sacrificed herself to save the world. For five months we’ve wondered if the person who should be here, smiling and laughing and punning in a non-Buffybot way that actually makes sense, is instead suffering in an unimaginable hell dimension. Willow Rosenberg… October 2, 2001
Willow Rosenberg, the witchy brain of the Scooby gang, started chronicling her adventures from around the time Buffy went away, distraught over killing Angel (so beginning of season 3), to her last entry about the “spell to share the power of the chosen one” in season 7. Willow weaves her humor and language (I dub Buffy-speak) to give us her point of view of Oz, meeting Tara, The Gentlemen, Adam, and Tabula Rasa. More below on Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Official Grimoire: A Magickal History of Sunnydale by Willow Rosenberg aka A.M. Robinson.

| Comics For Free Comic Book Day 2017 |
|
Well, folks, it is that time again. It’s time for Free Comic Book Day! On May 6, 2017, comic and book shops across the known ‘verse will offer up exclusive comics to patrons for free. But it’s not just about dropping in and grabbing free loot and bailing. No, friends, this is the day you need to get out and show your appreciation for these stores. Because while the comics are free to you, they are not free to the shopkeepers. They buy those for distribution as a way of thanking us for our business. And what better way to pay it forward is there than to drop a few bucks in their businesses? I’ll leave it to you and your conscience, but know that what you do on FCBD will affect what the shops are able to do in the future. My local comic shop closed, certainly you would not want the same fate for yours, would you? Click here to find a participating comic shop near you! But all the peer pressure aside, let us take a look at what the day will bring us in the way of comics. But remember, every shop may not have every title.

| 20 Great ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ Quotes |
|
Twenty years ago Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 1 episode 1 aired on the The WB to modest ratings. The story of the chosen one, a teenage girl destined to protect the world from vampires (and more), resonated with audiences long past when the show ended. I have watched all of the episodes over and over, and although I cannot recreate that magic of when I watched the episodes for the first time, sharing the series with someone new is the next best thing. One of the reasons Buffy was so successful was the witty banter the characters let loose in the face of this dangerous life. My list is not complete. I can probably write a list of 200 quotes, and still not be done, but I have chosen ones that really resonate with me. Some are not exactly quotes and are more dialogue moments, but I think you will enjoy them anyway. “In every generation there is a chosen one. She alone will stand against the vampires the demons and the forces of darkness. She is the slayer.”
