| 20 Great ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ Quotes |
|
Twenty years ago Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 1 episode 1 aired on the The WB to modest ratings. The story of the chosen one, a teenage girl destined to protect the world from vampires (and more), resonated with audiences long past when the show ended. I have watched all of the episodes over and over, and although I cannot recreate that magic of when I watched the episodes for the first time, sharing the series with someone new is the next best thing. One of the reasons Buffy was so successful was the witty banter the characters let loose in the face of this dangerous life. My list is not complete. I can probably write a list of 200 quotes, and still not be done, but I have chosen ones that really resonate with me. Some are not exactly quotes and are more dialogue moments, but I think you will enjoy them anyway. “In every generation there is a chosen one. She alone will stand against the vampires the demons and the forces of darkness. She is the slayer.”

| Preview: Syfy’s ‘Dominion’ Season 2 Trailer
Dominion is intriguing me. I’ve been seeing clips and trailers for it on Syfy while reviewing Olympus. Based on the film Legion, it’s a battle of brothers, as archangel Gabriel (Carl Beukes) wars with mankind, while archangel Michael (Tom Wisdom) sides with man, and is holed up in the fortified city of Vega. Check out the season 2 trailer, as well as the extended trailer below.

| Syfy Has New Shows This Summer: ‘Dominion’ and ‘Defiance’ |
|
Syfy Channel’s Defiance returned last week for Season 2 following the premiere of Dominion, a new series based on the 2010 film Legion. Both series together made for a strong night of programming for Syfy with Dominion seeing a solid start. Compared to all ad-supported cable scripted drama series premieres year to date, Dominion ranks #4 in L+SD rating among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54, and #2 among Men 18-49 and Men 25-54. Kicking off the night at 8PM (ET/PT) with its Season 2 premiere, Defiance delivered 776K Adults 18-49 and 948K Adults 25-54, which is a solid return for basic cable. Defiance was sold as a truly interactive experience when it premiered alongside a massively multilayer online video-game. Happenings in the game were supposed to effect the series. It appears though that the television series featuring genre favorite actress Julie Benz (Dexter, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) is outlasting the game. The series is set on Earth after a destructive battle with aliens. The world is now trying to rebuild with aliens and humans trying to live together.

| Syfy Greenlights ‘Dominion,’ A New TV Series Based On The Movie ‘Legion’
Sure Syfy Channel has a ton of reality television, but if those inexpensive shows help fluff the network’s budget for a few good scripted genre shows then they can hunt for ghosts wherever they like! The network’s President, Dave Howe, announced yesterday that they have greenlit a new supernatural series to full season. The show is titled Dominion, and it is a sequel to the movie Legion, which starred Paul Bettany as archangel Michael, Dennis Quaid, Lucas Black, Adrianne Palicki, Tyrese Gibson, Charles S. Dutton, and Kevin Durand as archangel Gabriel. Read more about the new show from the press release below.
