Dominion is intriguing me. I’ve been seeing clips and trailers for it on Syfy while reviewing Olympus.
Based on the film Legion, it’s a battle of brothers, as archangel Gabriel (Carl Beukes) wars with mankind, while archangel Michael (Tom Wisdom) sides with man, and is holed up in the fortified city of Vega.
Check out the season 2 trailer, as well as the extended trailer below.
Dominion‘s got a bunch of things I look for in a television show in its favor:
– Angels at war
– Anthony Stewart Head… excuse me, Anthony Head
– It was not cancelled after season 1.
– What happens in Vega, stays in Vega.
– Impressive wingspan.
– Syfy shows are never boring.
I may binge season 1 before the start of the second season. Who’s with me?
Dominion 2.1 “Heirs of Salvation” premieres Thursday, July 9th on Syfy.
Syfy’s Synopsis:
Dominion is an epic supernatural drama set in the near future. Specifically, 25 years after “The Extinction War,” when an army of lower angels, assembled by the archangel Gabriel, waged war against mankind. The archangel Michael, turning against his own kind, chose to side with humanity. Rising out of the ashes of this long battle are newly fortified cities which protect human survivors. At the center of the series is the city of Vega, a glistening empire that has formed from the ruins of what was once Las Vegas. Dominion Stars: Christopher Egan, Tom Wisdom, Roxanne McKee, Alan Dale, Anthony Stewart Head, Luke Allen-Gale.
