Saving Mr. Banks
Director: John Lee Hancock
Writers: Kelly Marcel, Sue Smith
Cast: Emma Thompson, Tom Hanks, Paul Giamatti, Jason Schwartzman, Bradley Whitford, Colin Farrell, B.J. Novak
Walt Disney Pictures
Rated PG-13 | 125 Minutes
Release Date: December 20, 2013 Directed by John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side), Saving Mr. Banks centers on the life of Mary Poppins author P.L. Travers (Emma Thompson), shifting between 1907 with her childhood in Queensland, Australia, the 1961 negotiations with Walt Disney (Tom Hanks), and the subsequent making of Mary Poppins. While in California for filming, Travers has flashbacks to her difficult childhood in Australia with her sweet but self-destructive father (Colin Farrell), the inspiration for her story’s patriarch, Mr. Banks. Some film critics, like the immortal Leonard Maltin, have called Saving Mr. Banks “a charming and heartwarming piece of entertainment, highlighted by a handful of superior performances.” I, on the other hand, would call it a nauseating, sentimental piece of corporate propaganda about an anti-Semite and a very British – and very bitchy – author who may or may not be a crazy person.

The first trailer for Disney’s Saving Mr. Banks, which sees the great Tom Hanks becoming the man behind the mouse, Walt Disney, has been released online. Disney promised his daughters he would make the movie, but did not anticipate Travers’ strict refusal to allow her work to be transferred to the silver screen. | Manic Manifesto: Total Recall [1990 vs. 2012] |
 |

A Thesis on the implications of Total Recall and the contrast between the original film [1990] and the remake and/or reimagining [2012] by Sam C Smith. “They stole his mind, now he wants it back.” REMINISCENCE:
It is my Star Wars. Yes, I said it. So I did what any fanboy would do: Collect. Why bother? It’s not as if Total Recall [Original will be referred to as TR, the new film hereby referred to as Total Recall] was the greatest film ever. It doesn’t even feature that highly on the greatest sci-fi film list of all time. But something just stuck with me throughout the 1990s to today that I never got with Star Wars – a film series pretty much filmed and over and done with before I could afford a video player. But consider how much more difficult it is to get original TR-based collectibles. Especially in the UK. Especially in 2012. Any fan of any age can find something Star Wars based, and that includes error-in-production Kenner figures from the 70s.

| Watch Colin Farrell In The ‘Seven Psychopaths’ Red-Band Trailer
There has just been a slew of red band trailers being released this week, and now you can add Seven Psychopaths to that list. As you may have seen from the first trailer, the film centers on a down-and-out screenwriter and his two friends (Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell, and Christopher Walken) who partake in the dog kidnapping business. When one of them accidentally kidnaps the dog belonging to a emotionally unstable gangster (Woody Harrelson), the three are on the run for their lives. Take a look at the f-bomb filled red band trailer (because that’s the only reason why it is red banded) here below.
