The GoD List Comics pull list

Each and every week, I, “Quicksilver!” Henchman 21 and “Scarlet Witch!” Empress Eve read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. Naturally, we look forward to some more than others. I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of our pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of April 29, 2015. Single issues and trades, they’re all here.

Yes, there are comics out this week, but there are also events this week, with a certain big movie coming out and Free Comic Book Day on Saturday. But let’s not let all that distract us from the actual comics that are out this week, because there wouldn’t be movies or veritable holidays without the books. There are a bunch of titles out this week that mark the endings of big stories or miniseries, but we’re going to start off with one of the best new series of the past year. So, it’s time to assemble The GoD List!

Dark Horse Comics
Release Date: April 29, 2015

Conan/Red Sonja #4 is the perfect ending to what, in my opinion, was the perfect example of a inter-company crossover. For the past three issues, two of fantasy’s most popular characters have fought, loved, and been comrades in arms. Now, with the fate of the entire universe at stake, can even they protect it?

Writers Gail Simone and Jim Zub continue their excellent tale of Conan and Red Sonja. What I’ve loved most about this series, and this issue in particular, is that it was more of a team-up than a crossover, and that both characters get equal billing and “page-time.” Each has their share of story to carry and each has their own weight to pull when it comes to the overall adventure. This issue is a fitting end to the series. I won’t spoil the ending, but it’s perfect.

Dark Horse Comics
Release Date: March 25, 2015

Conan/Red Sonja #3 takes a big swerve from the first two issues of this series, and it’s a total surprise for the reader. We’re used to the past two issues that skipped around during different times of the lives of Conan and Red Sonja, and it was great and fun, but now that the narrative has changed, is it still good? Let me tell you what I think…

Conan/Red Sonja #2 is the second installment in this way too long in the making crossover. We get a follow-up on the first issue’s first meeting between the two most recognizable characters in the fantasy comics genre, but in many ways, it’s also a first issue. Confused? Let me straighten things out for you.

The GoD List Banner

Each and every week, I, “Apprentice!” Henchman 21 and “Master!” Empress Eve read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. Naturally, we look forward to some more than others. I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of our pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of January 14, 2015. Single issues and trades, they’re all here.

It’s another new week of comics, and while there are a lot of great comics out this week, there’s really only one book out this week, and it’s from Marvel, and it’s Star Wars. Eve will get to that, but there are plenty of other books out this week, like new issues of Lazarus, Avengers, The Fuse, Copperhead, and Batgirl. We’ve got a couple titles from this week and one from last week that you should check out as well, so don’t just buy one comic this week, buy a bunch. That’s kind of what we’re all about on The GoD List!
