Comedy duo Abbott and Costello will meet Cthulhu, the Morlocks, and The Night Stalker in their first new comic book series in 50 years

In the 1948 comedy-horror film Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein, Abbott’s character tells Costello’s character, “Everything comes in threes.” That declaration is about to apply to the duo once more, as next year will see the release of a new 3-issue comic book series featuring the legendary comedy team.

Abbott and Costello Meet the Monsters, from indie publisher Monstrous, will be the first new comic book series in more than 50 years to feature the Golden Age comedians.

The t-shirt deal of the day over at RIPT Apparel is a mash-up of Futurama and Lovecraft’s Cthulu called “Revenge of Zoidthulu” by Omega Man 5000.

The tee went on sale at RIPT today, Thursday, May 31, 2012, at midnight CST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site anymore.
