Grant Gustin as The Flash

Without actually knowing what Warner Bros and DC Comics have planned, it’s hard to tell if their TV and Cinematic universes will ever crossover. Odds are, they won’t. But it should be interesting to see how everything plays out, especially with lower-tiered superheroes now getting their own shows instead of their own movies.

Arrow is a prime example of how successful a superhero show can be, and now its spinoff is ready to come your way. Not only has CW ordered The Flash to a full series, but the network has been unveiling small teases to help promote the show’s upcoming Fall debut. Now we got a full five-minute trailer for The Flash, which not only cross overs with Arrow, but has the potential to expand the DC TV universe as a whole.

Hit the jump to see the full trailer.

Deadman

The CW is looking to Eric Kripke, the creator of long-running hit series Supernatural, to head up the creation of the network’s newest possible show, based on DC Comics’ Deadman character.

This news comes in the wake of Smallville‘s tenth and final season, and reportedly CW is on the lookout for a new superhero series, and Deadman is one of the projects that has potential.

If you’re not familiar with Deadman, let me catch you up. In the comics, Boston Brand was a circus daredevil who wore a red costume and corpse paint. Unfortunately for him, during a trapeze act one day, he was viciously gunned down by an unknown man. Fortunately for us, however, Boston Brand was reborn as the superhero ghost named Deadman. Deadman used his unique ability to transfer his spirit from body to body, including super-powered heroes and villains, to fight crime and find out the identity of his killer.

‘Reaper’ Canceled: The CW Decides It Wants To Be Just Like Fox When It Grows Up

Reaper

UPDATE: Thanks to Reaper DMV who informed us that SBC is still pondering maybe continuing Reaper in syndication. While not so glamorous, keeping Reaper is all that matters, so if you’re a fan, GO HERE and do what you need to do.

Nothing can anger the fanboy masses more so than a great TV show being canceled for no reason. Some of the titles that have fallen to this hypothetical axe: Firefly, Family Guy, Rome, Futurama, with many others.

One more title can be added to the mix, as Reaper, the great show on the CW network, has officially been canceled. The show mixed fiction and lightly-handled religious elements with loads of great humor. It starred Brett Harrison, who becomes a bounty hunter for the Devil, bound for eternity to find and re-capture souls who have escaped from the fires of Hell. Harrison (who played Sam) was joined by his two friends, Sock (Tyler Labine) and Ben (Rick Gonzalez), and his female interest Andi (Missy Peregrym), who all work together at a home improvement superstore as their day jobs. The Devil (played brilliantly by Ray Wise), was one of the best TV characters today.

The second worst thing in all of this is that the show still had so many great storylines going for it, and with only the Season 2 finale left, I’m not sure they will be able to cover all of the bases and wrap it up as well as one could hope for.
