Steven Spielberg took a Philip K. Dick story and a Kubrick-style vision, to craft an amazing sci-fi action film in 2002. His criminally underappreciated Minority Report starred Tom Cruise as an police officer in the futuristic “pre-crime” division, a group that stops murders before they happen, thanks to the visions of three precognitive siblings. When Cruise himself is accused, a conspiracy is discovered that brings pre-crime crashing down. Now, FOX is bringing Minority Report to the small screen, picking up 10-years after pre-crime has shut down, and focusing on the lives of the now adult and free pre-cogs Dash (Stark Sands), Agatha (Laura Regan), and Arthur (Nick Zano).

Minority Report, the new FOX series this fall, will bring Precrime back to the forefront of our minds. Based on the 2002 film with Tom Cruise and Colin Farrell, the series picks up 10 years later, in a world that relies on tech, rather than precogs. But precog Dash (Stark Sands) finds it hard to shut out the visions.

If you’re after a short, quick blast on Netflix, look no further than The Confession. Initially a webisode series, now compiled into one 60-minute adventure, The Confession features a stunning cast including Kiefer Sutherland and John Hurt, as the short film delves into the shocking confession of a violent assassin to a shocked priest.

What begins as an acknowledgment of countless murders evolves into a lengthy and deep discussion on moral values and existentialism. As the discussion takes its turns, we flashback to The Confessor’s (Kiefer Sutherland) jobs – specific ones indicating the variation of the needs of his employment, while The Priest (John Hurt) is forced into a situation where he must continue listening.
