Daniel Radcliffe Horns Header Image

A new image has been released of Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe for his upcoming movie, Horns. And in the picture, quite fittingly to the movie’s title, the actor is sporting his own impressive set.

The role appears to be a decidedly dark turn for the actor, who is playing Ignatius Perrish, or “Ig” for short. The character is accused of raping and murdering his girlfriend, leading to the horns—which give him the power to make people tell the truth and give in to their darkest desires—growing out of his skull.

Be sure to head on below to check out the full first image of Daniel Radcliffe in Horns.

Pinocchio

It’s great to see that Guillermo Del Toro is finally finding his footing after he had to leave The Hobbit and At the Mountains of Madness. It is expected that after del Toro completes his work on Pacific Rim, he will immediately jump in to co-direct his first stop-motion animated film, Pinocchio, with Mark Gustafson (animation director for Fantastic Mr. Fox).

But this won’t be a kid-friendly Pinocchio; no, the film will be based on Gris Grimly‘s dark interpretation of the story that takes place in Italy between World War I and World War II. Looking at del Toro’s IMDB profile, this should not come as a big surprise. The film will also be in 3D.

Daniel Radcliffe in The Woman in Black

The atmospheric horror drama The Woman in Black, which featured Daniel Radcliffe in his first major post-Harry Potter leading role, opened in February to great success with critics and audiences. The film grossed over $53 million in the U.S. and a grand total of $120 million worldwide off a budget of $17 million, so it’s safe to say a sequel is assured.

Yesterday it was announced that Hammer, Alliance Films, and Cross Creek Pictures will be collaborating with Susan Hill, the author of the novel on which the movie was based, for a sequel to be titled The Woman in Black: Angels of Death. Jon Crocker (Desert Dancer) will write the screenplay from an original story by Hill. Roy Lee (The Departed) of Vertigo Entertainment will serve as an executive producer on the sequel.
