‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 8 Finally Has A Release Month

It’s been a long, long wait for fans since Game of Thrones season seven came to a close over a year ago now. And while that wait will continue into 2019, as we learned in July, all we knew as of then was that it would be sometime in the first half of the year.
Now we have something to finally focus in on. HBO has announced that Game of Thrones season eight will arrive in April of 2019. The perfect time to kick off the show’s final season, considering that all but two of the seven seasons premiered in April. And one of those two began just one day before April.
HBO made the announcement with a video, which you can check out below.

DC Comics Speedster The Flash To Join Green Arrow With New CW TV Show

From Batman and Superman to Wonder Woman and Shazam and even the short-lived Human Target, Aquaman, and Birds of Prey, DC Comics have seen much more success putting their heroes on the small screen than their competitor Marvel Comics – although that might change when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. debuts this fall. With Arrow making huge waves and getting ready for its second season, new heroes with DC roots were bound to have their own shows as well.
It’s being reported that the CW network is fast tracking Flash, a series based on the speedy superhero from Arrow team of co-creators Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg and director David Nutter.

Game of Thrones
Season Two, Episode 7 – A Man Without Honor
Directed by David Nutter
Written by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss
Starring Mark Addy, Alfie Allen, Emilia Clarke, Liam Cunningham, Charles Dance, Stephen Dillane, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Fairley, Aidan Gillen, Jack Gleeson, Iain Glen, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Conleth Hill, Carice van Houten, Harry Lloyd, Richard Madden, Patrick Malahide, Rory McCann, Sophie Turner, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Maisie Williams, and Issac Hempstead-Wright
Early on in Games Of Thrones Episode 7, “A Man Without Honor,” Theon (Alfie Allen) states, “It’s just a game,” which obviously serves to comment on the series as a whole, but it also describes most of the characters’ intentions throughout the episode: each one of them is playing a smaller game in the context of a much larger and deadlier one.
Arya (Maisie Williams) and Tywin (Charles Dance) continue to be my favorite part of the show week to week. After last week’s killing, Tywin is searching top to bottom for the man who “made an attempt on his life” punishing those who aren’t giving up the proper details. The two go back and forth in another powerful scene, each trying their hardest to either get or hide information from one another. The scene is a perfect example of how the entire series works as a whole, scaled down and played out over the course of several minutes and plays for beautiful television.

Game of Thrones
Season Two, Episode 6 – The Old Gods And The New
Directed by: David Nutter
Written by: Vanessa Taylor
Starring: Mark Addy, Alfie Allen, Emilia Clarke, Liam Cunningham, Charles Dance, Stephen Dillane, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Fairley, Aidan Gillen, Jack Gleeson, Iain Glen, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Conleth Hill, Carice van Houten, Harry Lloyd, Richard Madden, Patrick Malahide, Rory McCann, Sophie Turner, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Maisie Williams, and Issac Hempstead-Wright
We’ve been reminded throughout most of Season 2 of Game of Thrones that “the night is dark and full of terrors,” and most events throughout the course of these episodes have been reminders of this fact, but “The Old Gods And The New” (Episode 6) takes Melisandre’s oft repeated words and brings them to light in truly terrifying ways.

‘The Descent’ Director Neil Marshall To Helm Season 2 Episode Of ‘Game Of Thrones’

A handful of talents have been lined up to direct upcoming episodes of HBO’s Game of Thrones, which is currently in production on its second season.
One of said talents is popular UK director Neil Marshall, who’s made such ultra–violent fare such as The Descent, Doomsday, and the more recent Centurion. And speaking of Centurion, the movie—which starred Michael Fassbender as a part of a small group of Roman soldiers who escape an attack on their legion but have to survive behind enemy lines—could prove to be useful experience for Marshall when it comes to taking on his episode of Game of Thrones.
At the moment, it’s unclear what the episode Marshall will direct is going to be about.
