| ‘Deadpool 2’ Writers Confirm Return Of Colossus and Negasonic; Talk About Cable
It really wouldn’t be much of a Deadpool movie without the Merc with a Mouth mocking his fellow castmates, both on screen and off. But as the title character pointed out in the first film, there wasn’t much of a budget for a lot of X-Men characters. With Deadpool being a box office smash, fans are expecting the sequel to be bigger and better. That means they’ll have to introduce new characters for even more hilarious mockery and insults. We’re expecting to see Cable and Domino in the film, but their roles have not been cast yet. However, in a new interview with screenwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, it’s confirmed that Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead will also be making a return. The two scribes also spoke about how they will work Cable into the film, despite his rather confusing timeline. Check out what they had to say below.

When news that Tim Miller wouldn’t be returning to direct Deadpool 2, rumors of him wanting a bigger budget that focused more on the action started to emerge. Soon enough, the filmmaker became the target of vitriol and anger. | ‘Deadpool 2’: Ryan Reynolds On The Sequel’s Tone and Tim Miller’s Departure
The X-Men film franchise may look bleak now, but that hasn’t stopped Fox from moving forward with its lucrative Marvel titles. Rumor is that they are prepping to shoot New Mutants as early as next year in Montreal, where they previously shot X-Men: Days of Future Past and X-Men: Apocalypse. There’s also the release of Logan, which apparently got rave reviews today when the studio screened the first act of the film to a select group of journalists. After the departure of Deadpool director Tim Miller, 20th Century Fox and star Ryan Reynolds have been on the hunt for a new director for Deadpool 2. The only director that’s been mentioned as a possibility so far has been David Leitch (John Wick). One of the issues with Hollywood today is that not enough women are being hired to make bigger movies, especially comic book movies. And as it turns out, there’s a solution readily available to solve both of these things. Two of them, in fact! Sibling duo Jen Soska and Sylvia Soska, better known to their fans as the Twisted Twins, who are itching to get behind the camera for a Deadpool flick.

The search is on to find a director for Deadpool 2 after Tim Miller left the project over creative differences with star Ryan Reynolds. With production set to begin in 2017 for an unknown release date, Reynolds and Fox are looking for a director who can share their vision for a film that focuses more on the comedy, which is what made the first film so great.
