Star Wars: Battlefront Gameplay

For this week’s Honest Game Trailer, the subject is the much debated Star Wars: Battlefront.

And while not all will agree—namely those who are big fans of the new release—this trailer pretty much nails what the game really is. That is, it looks and sounds about as incredible as anyone could have hoped it would look and sound, but that’s about where the pros end. The rest of the game is basically an incomplete money grab, to put it bluntly.

You can see the Star Wars: Battlefront Honest Game Trailer and share your thoughts below.

Battlefield 4 Dragon Valley Easter Egg

Movie Easter eggs are fun little things to look for while watching. Easter eggs in video games are often the same thing, but sometimes the developers make you work to find them. DICE, the developer behind the Battlefield series, Star Wars: Battlefront, and the Mirror’s Edge games, has a reputation for including some great hidden secrets, but they often make you work to find them.

In no other case has this been more true than the latest Easter egg found in Battlefield 4. The game has been out for two years now, but new content is still being released for those who still play the game. Recently a new map titled “Dragon Valley” was released, which is an updated take on a Battlefield 2 map. And within this newly released map is one of the craziest, most complicated series of puzzles you’re ever going to see just to unlock a little hidden surprise.

You can see how the latest Battlefield 4 Easter egg plays out in the video below.

Mirror's Edge: Catalyst

DICE has made the decision to push back the released of their much-anticipated Mirror’s Edge sequel, titled Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst.

The first-person freerunning action-adventure game sequel was originally scheduled for release on February 23, 2016, but, as is often the case with video games, a little more time is needed to make sure the game is up to expectations—something most gamers will take any day of the week over a buggy game released earlier. Now the game is scheduled for release on May 24, 2016.

You can read a statement on the decision below.

‘Star Wars: Battlefront’ Won’t Have Single Player Campaign Because Data Says People Don’t Play Them

Star Wars: Battlefront

If you’ve been holding your breath waiting for confirmation that the highly anticipated Star Wars game Star Wars: Battlefront would include a single-player campaign in addition to the multiplayer mode we’ve already seen in action, you can exhale now. Not because a single-player campaign has been confirmed, but because if you do not exhale and continue to hold your breath waiting, you will die.

But why would DICE, the makers of the Battlefield games, not include a campaign for you to enjoy when you don’t feel like dealing with other players, even if it were the shorter six to eight-hour or so campaigns they usually offer? Because this is also published by Electronic Arts, and they have “data” that says you don’t play those silly single-player campaigns.

EA COO Peter Moore did an interview recently talking about many things, including the multiplayer-only Battlefront. See what he had to say below.
