We are less than a month away from the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and you can be sure that fans are on the edge of their seats waiting to see what will happen to Rey (Daisy Ridley) and if this will truly be the end for the Jedi Order. While the teaser, trailer, and a few TV spots have given us an exciting look at the action, they’ve kept fans in the dark when it comes to releasing major plot points and major surprises. Of course, nearly every Star Wars film is one of the most anticipated films of the year, wanting to know more about it before its release is just par for the course. | How Pixar’s ‘Coco’ Honors, Respects, and Celebrates Mexican Culture
Pixar’s Coco explores themes of family, culture, and music through Dia De Los Muertos, the Mexican holiday which celebrates and honors family members who have passed on to the afterlife. In the film, Miguel (Anthony Gonzales) is prohibited from playing and listening to music. Despite that, he still strives to become a musician like his idol, Ernesto Del La Cruz (Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Héctor (Gael GarcÃa Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history. | 4 Things You Need To Know About ‘Olaf’s Frozen Adventure’
The magic of Frozen, the animated phenomenon that took the world by blizzard, will be back in an all new animated short film that can be seen before all showings of Pixar’s Coco. In the short, titled Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, the holiday season gets underway in the kingdom of Arendelle, Elsa reveals to Anna that there has never been a holiday tradition since their parents’ death. However, hope is at hand when Olaf and Sven decide to go on an epic adventure and find the perfect tradition for the two sisters before the big day arrives. We were fortunate enough to sit down with directors Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers, as well as producer Roy Conli and, of course, the voice of Olaf himself Josh Gad to talk a little bit about Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, its themes, and what they hope audiences pull from their experience watching it. | Sam Mendes Walks Out On Disney’s Live Action Take Of ‘Pinocchio’
It should come as no surprise that Disney’s constant live-action reimaginings of their classic animated films is bringing them a nice chunk of change. Though they speedily put those films into development, one of their films just hit a major speed bump.
