The TARDISblend podcast is back, this time for a Doctor Who Series 7 Prediction Wishlist, featuring special guests Anthony Ha and Andrew Sorcini. We offer our sincere predictions as to where Steven Moffat will be taking Series 7 for Matt Smith‘s Doctor, and then also reveal our wishlists – things we’d love to see in Series 7, 8, and beyond.
Meanwhile, we also cover the most recent Doctor Who news, including the official BBC announcement of Jenna-Louise Coleman landing the role of the new companion for the second part of the upcoming season. We also discuss the new teaser trailer, that was a surprise release for fans; and the most recent news of not just the Daleks appearing in the first episode, but ALL the Daleks!
And to close out, we discuss our final predictions for the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who in 2013; we respond to your comments on the past episode, and as always, we make some Classic Doctor Who recommendations, and highlight what is coming up for both the future of this Whovian podcast!

Rumor Alert: The Daleks Return To ‘Doctor Who’; Which Ones? ALL OF THEM!

It’s been a while since we’ve had a pure Dalek episode of Doctor Who, the previous being Victory Of The Daleks from Series 5 in 2010. As hinted in the recent teaser trailer for Series 7, the Daleks are coming back, and this time (according to rumor) they’re kicking off the season with episode one.
But the last time the Daleks had their own episode, a new archetype was revealed – a new design that wasn’t universally welcomed by fans – some scoffing at them as iDaleks or Power Ranger Daleks. Personally, I didn’t mind the new versions, but that’s hardly the point here.
So the question is, which Daleks will be in this upcoming episode?

First Official Picture Of New ‘Doctor Who’ Companion

Following the release of the first teaser trailer for Series 7 of Doctor Who, the BBC has issued an official photo of the new character who will become Matt Smith‘s companion in the second half of the new season. Currently unnamed, the new companion will be played by Jenna-Louise Coleman. You can see the official press picture at the bottom of this post.
Coleman will have her debut in episode 6 of Doctor Who Series 7, which will be the 2012 Christmas Special for the season. Her entrance as the new companion will follow a “heartbreaking” departure of current assistants, Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) and Rory Williams (Arthur Darvill).

Surprise! The ‘Doctor Who’ Teaser Trailer For Series 7 Is Here!

The BBC has released the first official teaser trailer for the approaching seventh series (actually Season 33) of Doctor Who. Featuring Matt Smith‘s eleventh incarnation of the Doctor, with departing companions Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) and Rory Williams (Arthur Darvill), the trailer gives a quick and condensed glimpse into what showrunner Steven Moffat has in store for fans this year.

The Doctor Who TARDISblend 48: Series 7 News and Rumors

It’s been a while, but it’s time for another TARDISblend – and now with filming underway for Doctor Who Series 7, the floodgates have opened on the news and rumor mill. During TARDISblend 48, we preview the schedule for Series 7 and 8, as showrunner Steven Moffat begins the lead to the massive 50th Anniversary year in 2013.
We take a look at the confirmed information, as well as the unconfirmed rumors – including one that hints of a main star from Moffat’s Sherlock may be taking on the reins of a familiar long-time Who villain. We also discuss the possibilities of the new companion for the Doctor (Matt Smith) into Series 7 and beyond, as Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) and Rory Williams (Arthur Darvill) make their “heartbreaking” exit; as well as what is ahead for River Song (Alex Kingston).
