| SDCC 2013: Edgar Wright’s ‘The World’s End’ PanelFilm fans have patiently waited six years since 2007’s buddy cop spoof Hot Fuzz, for director Edgar Wright to conclude his Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, which began in 2004 with rom zom com Shaun of the Dead. Edgar Wright was reunited today with his co-stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost at San Diego’s Comic-Con for a discussion of the final film in the trilogy, The World’s End. The Nerdist’s Chris Hardwick moderated. The panel kicked off with a video retrospective of the trilogy before introducing the team. Hardwick noted The World’s End has a Doctor Who vibe, and Wright agreed it’s as if The Doctor was hammered, so ‘Doctor Hooch’. Frost described his character, Andy as an angry, buttoned-down, “hard nut,” lawyer type.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reunite with Wright for a third time, and they are joined by Paddy Considine, Martin Freeman, and Eddie Marsan. Check out the new trailer below.

| Simon Pegg Tweets New Poster For ‘The World’s End’
Seems like every year Hollywood gets hooked on a certain movie genre and becomes bound and determined to make every third or fourth theatrical release an entry in that genre. This year we’re getting a trio of apocalyptic comedies, all three hitting this summer and two of them co-starring Craig Robinson. But only one of them reunites director Edgar Wright with his frequent creative collaborators Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, the same all-star team that gave us the classic British comedy series Spaced and the mind-blowing quotable cult masterpieces Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, and that is The World’s End. Pegg recently tweeted a link to the latest poster for The World’s End in advance of the movie’s first trailer, scheduled to debut later this week. You can check out the tweet and poster here below.
