Natalie Dormer Voices Lexi T'Perro in Mass Effect: Andromeda

A pair of Game of Thrones stars are voicing characters in the highly anticipated upcoming video game Mass Effect: Andromeda.

A new video has been released introducing Natalie Dormer, best known for playing Margaery Tyrell on Thrones, Anne Boleyn on The Tudors, and Cressida in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, as part of the game’s voice cast. Dormer voices an Asari doctor named Lexi T’Perro (seen above). In the video, in which Dormer talks briefly about her character and the game, she mentions that Gethin Anthony is also voicing a character named Gil. Anthony is known for playing Renly Baratheon on Game of Thrones, who was married to Dormer’s character.

You can read more about the game and give the video a watch below.

Game of Thrones 2x03 Review

Game of Thrones
Season Two, Episode 3 – What Is Dead May Never Die
Directed by: Alik Sakharov
Written by: Bryan Cogman
Starring: Mark Addy, Alfie Allen, Emilia Clarke, Liam Cunningham, Charles Dance, Stephen Dillane, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Fairley, Aidan Gillen, Jack Gleeson, Iain Glen, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Conleth Hill, Carice van Houten, Harry Lloyd, Richard Madden, Patrick Malahide, Rory McCann, Sophie Turner, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Maisie Williams, and Issac Hempstead-Wright

Part of the episodic structure of Game of Thrones, for good or for bad, is that the show is a direct one-to-one adaptation of the book series. Having not read the books, I don’t know how faithful the adaptation is, but George R. R. Martin’s structure doesn’t often lend itself to having individual episode themes; instead, the show looks to playing out the larger themes of the series over the course of the season.

This isn’t a bad way of storytelling, in fact, it’s one that Game of Thrones has very well mastered.

Power and who wields this power has been a topic of much discussion for many of our characters this season and this week’s episode, “What Is Dead May Never Die,” continues this concept, but also plays with the assumption and illusion of who really, truly has power.

Game of Thrones Season 2

A new production diary from the set of HBO’s Game of Thrones has been released, and it shows off the stylish armor that Renly Baratheon (Gethin Anthony) will be wearing in season 2 of the hit show.

The video is brief but shows off the very real armor and outfit that was put together for Renly, as well as a glimpse of him and Cat Stark (Michelle Fairley) surely before something is about to go down.

You can check out the season 2 Game of Thrones video by heading below now.
