We at Geeks of Doom were at The X-Files panel at New York Comic-Con on Saturday, and were able to see an exclusive screening of the first episode of Season 10 before its January air date. The season will air on FOX starting on January 24, 2016 as a 6-episode miniseries event, and see David Duchovny back as Mulder and Gillian Anderson as Scully, along with some other familiar faces. | NYCC 2015: Fox’s ‘The X-Files’ Panel With David Duchovny
Crowds rushed into the Main Stage room at New York Comic-Con on Saturday, filling up the auditorium for a chance to see David Duchovny (Fox Mulder), Mitch Pileggi (Walter Skinner), and show creator Chris Carter speak about the upcoming The X-Files mini-series revival. The panel’s moderator, Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley), came onto the stage first and announced that the audience would be treated to “the first episode of season 10,” to an eruption of cheers. “Afterwards,” Nanjiani said, “I’m going to speak with some people involved with the show “” and my goal will be not to cry. But, before the episode airs, we have a special guest on the screen who’d like to say a word.” Gillian Anderson then appeared on the screen, telling the fans to enjoy the premiere.

| First ‘X-Files’ Trailer Will Air During ‘Gotham’ & ‘Minority Report’
UPDATE – FOX has released the full trailer online — watch it HERE. The X-Files is returning to FOX this January with a 6-episode miniseries that will see Mulder (David Duchovny) and and Scully (Gillian Anderson) back on the small screen. Tonight, FOX will air the first look at the upcoming miniseries in the form of a two-part trailer, with part one shown during Gotham (starting at 8pm), and the second during Minority Report (starting at 9pm). Francis Dolarhyde (Richard Armitage) convincingly purges himself from the world and lets the oddly restorative power of flames to begin his hunt again. But in the ashes of that fire, there’s still a spark. You can hear it clicking throughout the episode’s score, like the burner on a stove waiting to be ignited. The real fire hasn’t been snuffed out. Rather, it was just twitching and clicking, waiting to be sparked.
