PlayStation has released a new story trailer for developer Santa Monica Studio’s latest entry in the God of War series. And if that’s not exciting enough for you, an official release date for the game has also finally been announced.

In the new game Kratos jumps from Greek mythology over to Norse mythology and finds himself not only battling all sorts of new beasties, but also sharing much knowledge with his son Atreus.

Another highly anticipated upcoming title featured during Sony’s PlayStation showcase at Paris Games Week 2017 was God of War, a reboot of the hit franchise of the same name.

For the event a new gameplay trailer was released. The reboot sees series protagonist Kratos transitioning from the Greek mythology he had been wreaking havoc on in previous games, and into Norse mythology.

A gameplay trailer for the new God of War was shown during Sony’s PlayStation media briefing at E3 2017. The game was first introduced at last year’s E3 convention.

The trailer is called “Be A Warrior,” and once again follows Kratos on this new adventure in a new world with his son. Read more about the game and watch the gameplay trailer below.

A brand new God of War game kicked off Sony’s E3 2016 presentation, and it looks a whole lot different from the games fans of the series are familiar with. Like The Last of Us developer Naughty Dog took over the franchise. Sony even had Battlestar Galactica and The Walking Dead composer Bear McCreary leading a live orchestra to set up the reveal and play through the rest of the presentation.

They didn’t just show a cinematic reveal trailer either, they brought with them a full gameplay demo. You can see how the game looks for yourself below!
