
As part of the Legendary Pictures panel in Hall H as this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Godzilla director Gareth Edwards via a taped video message near the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco, CA, thanked all the fans for going to the film, and confirmed that because of the success of the rebooted Japanese behemoth franchise, there will be a second installment in the works.
An exclusive clip was shown as well, which resembled an old top secret Governmental film, replete with classic footage from the era the original Godzilla came out in the 1950s, and narrated by a John F. Kennedy soundalike, in which the classic thrillers of flight Rodan, Ghidorah, and Mothra take to the skies for what looks to be a bang-up film.
