Legendary Pictures and Warner Brothers have set an official release date for Godzilla 2, a follow-up to the reboot that stormed theaters this past May and has gone on to make over half a billion dollars worldwide.
The studios have locked in the June 8, 2018 date for the sequel, which will see director Gareth Edwards returning to the director’s chair after he completes work on the untitled Star Wars spinoff he’s currently working on.
Godzilla 2 was officially confirmed recently at San Diego Comic-Con, where it was also revealed that the monster would be facing foes like Mothra, Rodan, and more.
