| D23 Expo 2017: ‘A Wrinkle In Time’
Earlier this week we saw our very first look at Ava DuVernay‘s adaptation of A Wrinkle In Time. Madeleine L’Engle’s acclaimed children’s novel of the same name which sees Meg (Storm Reid) going on a cosmic adventure that spans space and time to save her father from an evil force who intends to use his space time travel research for their nefarious deeds. Both DuVernay and Reid were joined by Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, Reese Witherspoon, and Chris Pine, and all shared their thorughts and experiences on the film. | Geek Peek: First Images From Ava DuVernay’s ‘A Wrinkle In Time’
Selma and The 13th are both career-defining films for Ava DuVernay. Though the director was close to helming Marvel Studios’ Black Panther, she still found a way to reach a very important milestone. As the director of A Wrinkle In Time, she is first African-American woman to direct a $100 million film. It’s a significant feat if you pay attention to who usually gets these high budget directing gigs. Now with the D23 Expo just around the corner, we are getting a better look at what is to come with a bunch of new images from the film. Check them all out below.

Blu-ray Release Date: June 6th, 2017 Disney’s live action Beauty and the Beast has already grossed close to $1.2 billion worldwide, and it debuted in theaters less than 3 months ago! The film received rave reviews from critics and fans alike. It somehow managed to retain the magic and aura of the 1991 animated Best Picture nominee (the first ever animated film to receive the honor), all the while breathing new wonder into the timeless story. Given 25+ years to review the original classic, the writers and Director Bill Condon covered up some of the continuity errors, and added a few beautiful new songs to mix alongside some of Disney’s most famous tunes like “Be Our Guest” and the titular number. Featuring a star-studded cast headlined by a radiant Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, Beauty and the Beast was one of my favorite films of 2017 thus far, as well as my 6-year old daughter’s, who loved every minute. Check out the features below.

| How ‘God Particle’ Became Connected To The ‘Cloverfield’ Universe |

Cloverfield sequels aren’t exactly sequels, but they aren’t exactly spinoffs either. So while 10 Cloverfield Lane may have a similar title, it isn’t a direct sequel, it is a spiritual sequel that shares loose connections to its predecessor. Basically, these films are a part of a larger universe. The characters just don’t know it. But it is the fact that you never see these films coming that is not only surprising but refreshing. But to hide that 10 Cloverfield Lane was related, the film was shot as Valencia and then changed its title a few months before release. With the Cloverfield films popular again, it’s easy to see why people might be more interested in any new titles from Bad Robot and Paramount. However, Paramount isn’t exactly being secretive about God Particle being the next chapter of the series. In fact, we are learning more about the film and how it ended up being connected. Check it out below.

| Disney In Depth: Music Review: Beauty and The Beast (2017)
The tale as old as time is timeless, and so is its music. With the recent release of Disney’s smash success Beauty and the Beast, let’s unpack the music box that is the film’s soundtrack. With all of the original tunes from the 1991 film, as well as some new additions, this new version blends classic and contemporary almost seamlessly, with a few exceptions. Here is my review of the soundtrack for the 2017 version of Beauty and the Beast.
