| ‘Coraline’ Theatrical Trailer + Final Poster The theatrical trailer for the 3D stop-motion animated Coraline is now online.

Coraline was written and directed by Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas, based on the book by Neil Gaiman and is the first movie to ever be filmed in 3D. The young Coraline bored in her new home, goes searching around and finds a secret door that leads to an alternate version of her own life. At first, Coraline loves this other world, as it seems so much better than her own. On the other side, is an Other Mother and Other Father, who want her to stay there forever, and while at first she’s tempted, she soon realizes that there’s something wrong with this other place, but is it soon enough to escape back to her real home and family?

| Official ‘Coraline’ Movie Site Goes Live The official site for the Focus Features big-screen adaptation of Coraline has gone live.
In the film, young girl Coraline, who discovers a parallel home to hers complete with another mother and father who entice her to remain with them. But once she’s there, she finds out that things aren’t what they originally appeared to be. Navigate through the site, which is made up to look like the “Other” world, to find 10 secret items hidden on the home page and throughout the various sections — Story, Characters, Videos, Downloads, Activities; find all the items and unlock a video featurette. Also, in each section there’s a door that opens up into the real world, which looks bleak in comparison to the newly discovered world.

There’s not a whole lot left that you can say about Tim Burton‘s The Nightmare Before Christmas that hasn’t been already said at some point since its release in 1993. Thankfully this isn’t just any movie, it’s grown into something else, something bigger. The Nightmare Before Christmas is an adventure that ties together the worlds of our most beloved holidays, Halloween and Christmas. We follow Jack, The Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, who goes off seeking something different from the same ol’ Halloween happenings. While deep in the forest, he discovers the doors to the various other holidays, eventually going through the way to Christmas Town. While there, he sees how beautiful and magical it is, convincing him that this is exactly what Halloween Town needs and begins his plans. Of course, nothing works as planned and Jack has a mess to clean up to get things set straight!

On August 26, 2008, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment will be releasing a special Collector’s Edition DVD and Blu-ray of Tim Burton‘s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
By now, fans of the 1993 stop-motion animated film probably own numerous DVD copies already. So, what’s new about this Collector’s Edition? It will contain a digitally restored version of The Nightmare Before Christmas, as well as a “DisneyFile” digital copy of the film that’s downloadable to either iTunes or Windows Media formats, allowing users to view the movie on their computer or portable device. The new Collector’s Edition will also include some never-seen-before bonus features, behind-the-scenes footage, and other features made solely for this DVD release, including feature-length commentary, Burton’s NBC poem narrated by Christopher Lee, and exclusive for the Blu-ray edition, an all-new introduction to the movie by Burton. Check out the full DVD/Blu-ray details here below, as well as three clips from the film and two behind-the-scenes preview videos from the upcoming DVD release.
