Fox has released the teaser trailer for their re-imagined The Fantastic Four.

The reboot stars Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell and is directed by Josh Trank. The story leading up to this has been a production that seeks to completely make over the fabled superheroes and go a little outside of the box when it comes to portraying the team on screen. This of course met the criticism of fans who cherish the long running comic series.

Every once in a while one of the ultra-rare copies of the Holy Grail of comic books, Action Comics No. 1, surfaces somewhere and scores massive amounts of money when auctioned off. Nic Cage had one in almost perfect condition that was returned to him 11 years after being stolen last year, which went on to bring in $2.1 million.

But what happens when you blow over 50 years of dust off of that old box in the attic and not only is there a copy of Action Comics No. 1, which introduced some dude named Superman to the world, but a whole collection of old comics that also includes Detective Comics No. 27, the comic that introduced another dude named Batman? Coins rain from the skies, ladies and gentlemen.

Marvel is bringing back some classic stories to a new generation with this new series of reprints, called From the Marvel Vault.

The first issue, From the Marvel Vault #1, features a team-up of the Human Torch and The Incredible Hulk. The two heroes must fight a villain who has captured the power of the Moon’s gravitational pull making him equal to Magneto. The story was originally crafted by artist Steve Ditko and writers Jack C. The good news is that the reprint is a buck cheaper at $2.99 than the new books on shelves. Most of these stories can be found in some graphic novel collection so is this new series necessary or just a money grab by Marvel? Let us know what you think. For those of you who do not read comic books and do not follow Marvel Comics’ Fantastic Four, it’s been known for a while now that the series — which debuted in 1961 and has spawned two Hollywood movies — would be ending at issue #588, and that one of the elite four members would die before it was all said and done.

Who exactly would perish, however, has been a guarded secret, and only now is it being revealed whose story ends right before the Fantastic Four comic series ends.
