
The Ice Age franchise is 20th Century Fox’s glistening animated gem. Sure the quality of the story of the film franchise died down after the first installment, but all three animated films have grossed over $200 million, and that is nothing to scoff at. So the studio is having a fourth go-around. Ice Age: Continental Drift hits theaters in less than a month, but we are getting a new look at the crazy antics that Manny, Sid, and Diego get into, and it has an affect on the world. Literally. In Ice Age: Continental Drift, Scrat – a prehistoric squirrel who fails to claim an acorn on multiple and hilariously near fatal accounts – inadvertently causes the land mass known as Pangaea to split apart. As a result of his actions Manny, Sid, and Diego are separated from their herd, or family of misfit animals.
