Glee
Season 6 Episode 5: “The Hurt Locker, Part Two”
Directed by Barbara Brown
Written by Ian Brennan
Created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan
Starring Lea Michelle, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Jane Lynch, Matthew Morrison, Dot Jones, Amber Riley, and Chord Overstreet
FOX
Air Date: Friday, January 30, 2015, 9:00pm Last week’s Glee 6.4 “The Hurt Locker, Part One“ (spoilers!) explored the crazier side of Sue (Jane Lynch). The crazy we know – her irrational hatred of all things Glee. The crazy we didn’t know – her obsession with “Blurt” (Chris Colfer & Darren Criss), complete with shrine. It’s kind of uncomfortable. However, the songs were fabulously sung and performed as usual. My new obsession is that Vocal Adrenaline singer that looks like a 70s greaser and sings like Dennis DeYoung. Glee 6.5 “The Hurt Locker, Part 2“ picks up at the exact spot last week’s episode ends, at the end of the Vocal Adrenaline “Whip It” performance, where Sue announces that she will be judging the Invitationals to Will Schuester’s (Matthew Morrison) dismay.

Season 6 Episode 4: “The Hurt Locker, Part One”
Created & Written by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan
Starring Lea Michelle, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Jane Lynch, Matthew Morrison, Dot Jones, Amber Riley, and Chord Overstreet
FOX
Air Date: Friday, January 23, 2015, 9:00pm The Gleek-down continues with Glee Season 6 episode 4 of the final 13, “The Hurt Locker, Part One,” which delves a little more deeply into the insanity that is Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch). This Sue-centric episode explores her hatred of the glee club, and of her also surprising fandom of “Klaine” (Chris Colfer & Darren Criss). She vows to get them back together by any means possible. The lengths she goes to in this episode are hilarious. I think I will miss her the most.

Glee
Season 6 Episode 1: “Loser Like Me”
Directed by Bradley Brueker
Created & Written by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan
Starring Lea Michelle, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Jane Lynch, Matthew Morrison, Dot Jones, Amber Riley, and Chord Overstreet
FOX
Air Date: Friday, January 9, 2015, 8pm Glee begins its swan song tonight with a 2-part opener that brings everyone back home to Lima, Ohio. Although some feel that the show should have ended before the main members graduated, ending it this year does feel right. Glee has always really been about misfits (ok – really pretty misfits) coming together and singing (and sometimes dancing) their feelings. It’s cheesy, it’s campy, it really stretches the boundaries on what actually happens in high school, but it still has what draw Gleeks to it in the first place – the songs. I still YouTube certain favorites like the “Dream On” duet by Matthew Morrison and Neil Patrick Harris (who hit the high note!); “Forget You” by Holly Holiday (Gwyneth Paltrow); the entire Rocky Horror episode, Artie (Kevin McHale) doing the “Safety Dance”; the Warblers singing “Teenage Dream” or singing anything; Puck (Mark Salling) singing “Beth” by KISS; and so much more.

Starring John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, Alan Tudyk, Mindy Kaling, Ed O’Neill, Dennis Haysbert

Release Date: March 5, 2013 Get your head in the game. Disney’s best video game is not one you can play, but rather one you watch, as Wreck-It Ralph jazzes up the screen with pure fun and affection. Now the giant hit movie arrives on Blu-ray shelves. Press start for this Disney In Depth Blu-ray review of Wreck-It Ralph. The bad guy doesn’t want to be a bad guy. Have we seen this plot before? Maybe to some respect, but Ralph takes this concept to a most pioneering level where puns and references a plenty do not interfere with sophisticated storytelling. Supposedly-villainous Ralph just wants some appreciation, so he ventures outside his ’80s-era game to prove his worth. He attains that value via unexpected means, meets some crazy folks along the way, and realizes his potential in who he has always been.
