| ‘HIMYM’ Best Night Ever Video With Nuno Bettencourt On last night’s How I Met Your Mother, Marshall and Lily go overboard trying to get Barney and Robin to be their new “couples” friend. We learn that what has succeeded in chasing off every other potential couple is Marshall’s post double-date photo montage, complete with original songs from Marshall.
I don’t know about you, but I’d LOVE it if I had a friend that did this! Anyhow, Marshall’s tribute to his and Lily’s Best Night Ever with Robin and Barney is now online for all to see. Check out the video here below of a special online version of Marshall’s music video — a collaboration with Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt that’s a take on Extreme’s “More Than Words.”

| It’s Not Meat, It’s Not Puppets … It’s The Muppets & They’re Coming Back Big! |
 |

If you got the reference in the title, you’re awesome and we’re putting you right up on the fridge. Many of us cool kids are children of the ’80s, and as such, one of the greatest forms of entertainment ever to be created, is the Muppets. The Muppets are a creation of the late genius Jim Henson, who built an army of funny and lovable puppet characters who appeared in a countless amount of TV shows, specials, movies, music videos, cartoons, and everything in between. As life moved on and new generations of kids showed up, the Muppets faded off slowly, but never completely disappeared, making delightful cameo appearances on shows and events from time to time. But now, thanks to the massive Disney D23 Expo, we’ve learned that the Muppets are coming back in a big way, and their ready to take over the world again! Back in March of 2008, we learned that we would finally be getting a brand new Muppet movie, with Forgetting Sarah Marshall team Jason Segel and Nick Stoller joining the Jim Henson Company to write and direct a new movie. Not much else had been known about the project since that time, but Coming Soon was on hand at the Disney Expo and they passed along word that a title for this movie has been made official: The Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made.

| Geek Peek: First Look At Jack Black In ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ |
 |

A bunch of behind-the-scenes images from the adaptation of Jonathan Swift‘s classic Gulliver’s Travels have surfaced. All of the images are of the movie’s star, Jack Black, standing in the middle of what looks like some kind of town square and yelling something. It appears that some oddly-dressed soldiers are present, leading us to believe that this is after Gulliver has arrived in the mysterious world of little people. No one appears to be small or wearing motion-capture suits or anything, so I’m really not sure which method they’re using to make everyone tiny. Maybe this is just how folks dress wherever Gulliver is BEFORE heading to tiny people world. Jack Black is playing Lemuel Gulliver, an adventure-loving writer who while on an assignment to the dreaded Bermuda Triangle, washes up on the shores of Lilliput — a whole new world where the people are equal in their evolution, but just so happen to be incredibly small as well. The movie also stars Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada) as a native Lilliput princess, and Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) as Horatio. It is captained by Rob Letterman, who also directed Shark Tale and Monsters vs. Aliens, and the script is written by Forgetting Sarah Marshall director Nicholas Stoller as well as Joe Stillman. Click on over to see some of the images and head to INF Daily for the rest of them!

| Emily Blunt, Jason Segel Join ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ |
 |

Jason Segal (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada) are both in negotiations with 20th Century Fox for roles in the upcoming adaptation of Jonathan Swift‘s tale, Gulliver’s Travels. The movie will feature Jack Black as Lemuel Gulliver, an adventure-loving writer who while on an assignment to the dreaded Bermuda Triangle, washes up on the shores of Lilliput — a whole new world where the people are equal in their evolution, but just so happen to be incredibly small. As for who the two will play if negotiations are successful, the big trades seem to be confused (as they were with Iron Man 2‘s Sam Rockwell/Mickey Rourke castings) — both have Emily Blunt playing a native princess and Jason Segal playing a man named Horatio, but THR has Blunt as Horatio’s love interest and Variety has Blunt as Gulliver’s love interest with Horatio playing Gulliver’s best buddy. While it would indeed be interesting, I’m assuming a G.I. Joe-sized princess and a massive Jack Black would make some weird-ass lookin’ babies, so I’m going to dance with the former here. I’m sure some basic research, or a question to those familiar with the classic story could answer who’s loving who here, but me being not so familiar find it more enjoyable to point out the flaws of those who think themselves too good to source the smaller guys when they break a legit story.

 Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Three-Disc Unrated Collector’s Edition
Directed by Nicholas Stoller
Starring Jason Segel, Kirsten Bell, Mila Kunis, Bill Hader, Russell Brand
Universal Home Entertainment
Release date: September 30, 2008
At first glance, Forgetting Sarah Marshall might seem like another sex comedy brought to you by producer Judd Apatow and is talented gang of writer/actors. But the film, written by Apatow alum Jason Segel, is so much more. Forgetting Sarah Marshall combines the raunchiness of Superbad with the heart of 40-Year-Old Virgin, then mixes in some non-sappy rom-com. The premise of the movie promises a lot of sex, love, and romance, as Segel’s Peter Bretter pines over his lost love Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell), an actress on a CSI-type TV show Crime Scene: Scene of the Crime, for which Peter provides the “ominous” score. What you might not realize is that this movie will keep you laughing out loud all the way through as Peter tries desperately to recover from the break-up — and what a break-up it is, probably one of the funniest in film history.
