DreamWorks Trolls title

I’ll admit that I had my doubts about DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls being an entertaining film considering that it was based on the ’80s toys that many of us have long forgotten about. But when that first gleeful trailer popped up, it came to many viewers as a pleasant surprise. Then they showed even more footage at the San Diego Comic-Con, and soon enough, the film caught my attention.

Now a new trailer has been released featuring the film’s lead voice stars, Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick, talking about the film and how music and animation go hand in hand. Check out the latest trailer for Trolls below.

Trolls trailer

20th Century Fox has released the first full-length trailer for the upcoming animated comedy Trolls, featuring the voices of Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick. If you are a child of the ’90s, then you will more than likely recognize these colorful characters, but the film manages to add a brand new twist by bringing a musical element into the mix.

Timberlake and Kendrick are not the only singing talents. They will be joined by Zooey Deschanel, Russell Brand, James Corden, and Gwen Stefani. So you know you are in for a few cover songs and maybe some new ones too. Check out the full trailer below.

Despicable Me 2 Header

The one thing that Despicable Me 2 has going for it, aside from Agnes, that one kid known for screeching “it’s so fluffy,” are those tiny yellow minions that are constantly causing mayhem and by the side of Gru (voiced by Steve Carell).

The first trailer wasn’t too heavy on the details, which is fine by all means since it was a teaser trailer, as was the second trailer. Now a new more plot centric trailer has revealed a lot of detail about the story that will force Gru to fight for the good side.

Hit the jump to see the latest trailer for Despicable Me 2.

Despicable Me 2

A lot of what makes Despicable Me so adorable are those lovable mischievous yellow minions that go around assisting Gru (Steve Carell). The first trailer for Despicable Me 2 featured only three minions singing their off-key rendition of “Barbara Ann.” But it didn’t tell us anything about the sequel at all.

Now a new holiday-appropriate trailer has hit the web and it seems to tell us that the sequel will be focused on them. Check it out after the jump.

Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D PosterKaty Perry: Part of Me 3D
Directed by Dan Cutforth, Jane Lipsitz
Starring Katy Perry, Glen Ballard, Shannon Woodward, Russell Brand, Adele, Rihanna, Lady Gaga
MTV Films | Paramount Pictures
Rated PG | 97 Minutes
Release Date: July 5, 2012

All right, here’s the thing – I know I’m not supposed to like Katy Perry. I’m not supposed to like Lady GaGa either, but I do. Let me put this in more simplistic, geek-relative terms: Katy Perry is to The Avengers as Lady GaGa is to The Dark Knight – both pop stars are awesome for completely different reasons.

GaGa’s got her Little Monsters and Perry’s got her Katy Kats, and yes – it’s creepy for a 27-year-old bearded straight man to consider himself part of either of those fan communities – but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate the artistry and pageantry of pop music. Sometimes, I just want a little good old fashioned frivolity, and that’s the escape Perry’s music provides.

I’m not ashamed to admit it – I really like Katy Perry. I dig her whole vibe, from the silly, catchy-as-hell pop songs to her blue hair and “Sexy Willy Wonka” fashion sense. Say what you will about America’s candy-coated pop starlet, but you can’t deny her success. Her 2010 album Teenage Dream spawned five number one singles “” “California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream,” “Firework,” “E.T.,” and “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).”
