| Kevin Smith Has Written A New Jay and Silent Bob Movie; ‘Clerks III’ Dead
The last four movies that Kevin Smith has worked on as a director—Red State, Tusk, Holidays, and most recently Yoga Hosers—have all been horror movies or have had horror elements. Much different from the comedies and dramedies set in the “View Askewniverse” he’s best known for, such as Clerks, Mallrats, and Dogma. He’s also been involved in a couple of TV shows on The CW recently, directing a couple of episodes of both The Flash and Supergirl. There’s been talk here and there of returning to his Askewniverse again for Clerks III, a world he hasn’t visited since 2006’s Clerks II. But now Smith has revealed that Clerks III is dead and he’s turned his attention to the most familiar part of the Askewniverse, Jay and Silent Bob, who he’s written a new movie for. Find out what it’s about below.
