WARNING: Spoilers for HBO’s Game Of Thrones….

Last week’s Game Of Thrones took us for the first time to Horn Hill, the ancestral home of Samwell Tarly, while Arya Stark made her final decision to not join the Faceless Men, and the Faith Militant once again won the upper hand in Kings Landing after securing the ultimate follower, the boy King Tommen Baratheon, who announced the joining of the Crown and the Faith. Also, Uncle Benjen, long presumed dead, came back as a not-quite White Walker.

On this week’s episode, 6.7 “The Broken Man,” another presumed dead character has risen and brought a whole new storyline with him, while Arya’s plan to return to Westeros hits a major snag; Sansa and Jon’s attempts to gather allies against the Boltons is proving to be much more difficult than anticipated; Jaime heads the Lannister army to take back Riverrun for the Freys; and Margaery remains faithful to the High Sparrow and his teachings.

WARNING: Spoilers for HBO’s Game Of Thrones….

On last week’s Game Of Thrones, we got a sneak peak at the origins of the White Walkers; Sansa Stark and half-brother Jon Snow readied to take back Winterfell from Ramsay Bolton; Arya Stark has her new assassin assignment; Theon and Yara Greyjoy fled the Iron Islands with its best ship after their murderous uncle won the Kingsmoot, and Bran Stark completely screwed everything up by visioning into the past and inadvertently creating “Hodor” while also alerting the Night King to his presence in the present.

This week’s episode, 6.6 “Blood of My Blood,” saw the return of several characters long forgotten and/or presumed dead; Samwell Tarly returns with his makeshift family to Horn Hill; Bran and Meera struggle to survive after the White Walker attack; Arya makes her first assassination attempt; Jaime and the Tyrell army get ready to battle the Faith Militant in Kings Landing; and Daenerys is ready to continue with her original plan to reclaim her family’s right to rule the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros.

WARNING: Spoilers for HBO’s Game Of Thrones….

Last week’s Game Of Thrones saw the very first Stark sibling reunion when Sansa Stark escaped the clutches of her sadist husband Ramsay Bolton to make her way to The Wall, where, unbeknownst to her, her half-brother Jon Snow had just been resurrected. It also saw Daenerys Targaryen torch the Dosh Khaleen temple to the ground with the Khals in it, to emerging Unburnt and leading the Dothraki once again.

This week’s episode, Episode 6.5 “The Door,” was the first time this season where I was left with an unsettling feeling, because once again, our favorite characters are in danger, as are ones who we were just beginning to forgive.

Game Of Thrones Season 6.3 Daenarys

Game of Thrones
Episode 6.3 “Oathbreaker”
Directed by Dan Sackheim
Written by David Benioff & D. B. Weiss
Starring Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Carice van Houten, Alfie Allen, Natalie Dormer
HBO
Air date: May 8, 2016

WARNING: Spoilers for HBO’s Game Of Thrones….

Last week’s Season 6 episode of Game Of Thrones started out slow, but ended so insanely awesome with the resurrection of Jon Snow! This is something that has not happened in the books, which means that the TV show is off on its own storyline now. We also saw Ned Stark’s sister, Lyanna, on screen for the first time in a vision shown to Bran, which included a look at a young Hodor back when he could speak coherently.

This week’s installment, 6.3 “Oathbreaker,” brings with it a lot of hope that fans will finally get some answers about the past. In another one of Bran’s visions of the past, we see the battle at the Tower Of Joy, where a young Ned Stark goes to rescue his sister Lyanna. There’s also lots of Jon Snow and the aftermath of his returning to life, including what he experienced in the afterlife, as well as the fate of the traitors who murdered him. Cersei and Jaime plot their revenge; King Tommen is still whining; and Daenarys is on her way to the Khal Widow retirement home, which is not as relaxing as it sounds. Meanwhile, in Meereen, Tyrion, Varys, and the rest of Dany’s crew plan their next move; there’s new surprises in Winterfell with Ramsay Bolton and his bannermen; Arya returns to the House of Black and White; and Sam reveals a new future for Gilly and the baby.
