
Actress Lauren Bacall, one of the few remaining stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age, has died at the age of 89. According to reports Bacall suffered a massive stroke at her home this morning, resulting in her passing.
Bacall appeared in many memorable roles over her lengthy career, including To Have and Have Not, The Big Sleep, Dark Passage, How to Marry a Millionaire, Key Largo, Written on the Wind, Designing Woman, Murder on the Orient Express, The Shootist, Misery, My Fellow Americans, Dogville, Howl’s Moving Castle, Manderlay, and The Mirror Has Two Faces, which scored her an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe win. She was presented with an honorary Oscar in 2010 “In recognition of her central place in the Golden Age of motion pictures.”
