| Movie Review: Brittany Runs A Marathon
Brittany Runs A Marathon
Director: Paul Downs Colaizzo
Writer: Paul Downs Colaizzo
Cast: Jillian Bell, Michaela Watkins, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Lil Rel Howery, and Micah Stock
Distributor: Amazon Studios
Rated PG-13 | Minutes: 103 Minutes
Release Date: August 23, 2019 It’s easy to see how some sports movies can be a bit repetitive given their formulaic nature. The training montages, the struggles, and achieving a championship form – whether that means getting an actual trophy or earning the respect of your peers. But Paul Downs Colaizzo‘s Brittany Runs A Marathon, starring Jillian Bell, doesn’t oversell any of that nor does it become too preachy. Instead, it goes about all of that in an honest way by showing the beauty and ugliness of training hard to become a better person. My full review below.

Good Boys
Director: Gene Stupnitsky
Writer: Gene Stupnitsky, Lee Eisenberg
Cast: Jacob Tremblay, Brady Noon, Keith L. Williams, Will Forte, Molly Gordon, Lil Rel Howery, Retta
Distributor: Universal Pictures
Rated R | Minutes: 90
Release Date: August 16, 2019 The novelty of hearing kids curse and them getting into all sorts of serious trouble hasn’t worn off. But it can when the comedy doesn’t stick. So much of Gene Stupnitsky‘s Good Boys, relies on its three leads Jacob Tremblay, Brady Noon, and Keith L. Williams trying to be funny based on cringe-worthy humor. The trouble is, not only does the film have very few laughs, it lacks heart. As such, they squander a talented cast. My full review below.

| ‘Good Boys’ Red Band Trailer: Tweens Get Into Some Seriously Hilarious Trouble
Universal Pictures has released the latest red band trailer for the Seth Rogen produced raunchy comedy Good Boys. The film centers on three adolescent boys Max (Jacob Tremblay), Thor (Brady Noon), and Lucas (Keith L. Williams) who will do anything to make it to a sixth grade party. Without knowing what will happen at this party, the boys are under the impression that there will be lots of kissing, so they take Max’s dad’s drone, which they are forbidden to touch, to spy on their next door neighbors who they believe is a nymphomaniac. Unfortunately, this is the first step into the absolutely crazy day that they will have which includes trying to run across a highway, sex swings, porn, exchanging drugs at a public playground, and more. Check out the NSFW red band trailer for Good Boys below.

| ‘Good Boys’ Trailer: Jacob Tremblay Is Having One Very Bad Day In New Seth Rogen-Produced Comedy
Seth Rogen‘s Superbad really knew what it was like for an innocent outside kid to try hard to desperately fit in by engaging in illicit and illegal activity. But things are a little bit different in Good Boys, his new produced raunchy comedy featuring Room‘s Jacob Tremblay as the lead of a trio of kids, who probably can’t reach the height requirements for a roller coaster, who will try to get into a kissing party. But their attempts lead them to all sorts of trouble that involve cops, drug dealers, frat boys, and so much more. Check out the trailer here below.
