There is no denying the void that Harry Potter films have left behind. Luckily Warner Bros. has given spinoff movies the green light. The first spinoff will be an adaptation of the classic Hogwarts textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Newt Scamander, a “magizoologist” who writes the textbook for which the film is based on, will be played by Eddie Redmayne. It will be directed by David Yates using script by J.K. Rowling.
Now Fantastic Beasts is looking for some female leads, and a new report says that Saoirse Ronan and Dakota Fanning are among those in the running for one role, while Kate Upton and Elizabeth Debicki are among those up for another. More on the story below.
