At the end of July we saw a red band trailer for Little Monsters, the zombie comedy starring Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o, Alexander England, and Josh Gad which was announced back in 2017.

Now a new red band trailer has been released for Little Monsters, which is written and directed by Abe Forsythe, and you can find it below along with a synopsis.

Lupita Nyong’o played terrific characters in Star Wars and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but how can one resist watching her play a cheery kindergarten teacher who protects her students from zombies… the slow kind? Because she will be doing plenty of that in Little Monsters. The film made its festival run earlier this year and was met with mixed reviews, but judging by the looks of it, this is the kind of zombie flick I would enjoy watching.

Oscar-winning 12 Years a Slave and Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Lupita Nyong’o and Frozen and Beauty and the Beast star Josh Gad have signed on to star in Little Monsters. And no, it’s not a remake of the greatest movie ever made starring Fred Savage and Howie Mandel.

They join Alexander England (Alien: Covenant, Gods of Egypt) on the cast. The movie follows a group of kindergarten kids on a class trip when the dreaded zombie outbreak begins to unfold.

Remember Little Monsters, the family flick starring Fred Savage as a kid who discovers an incredible world of monsters under his bed? Of course you do, because it’s awesome. But did you know they remade that movie as a horror flick? Neither did anyone else!

OK, so the movie in question isn’t technically a Little Monsters remake…at least not officially. But surely anyone who watches the new red band trailer for the upcoming flick Under the Bed will agree, this flick looks a whole hell of a lot like a scarier Little Monsters. Whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing? That remains to be seen. It does look like a lot of practical effects were used, and that’s a major plus.
