‘Lost In Space’ Trailer: Netflix Renews Series For Season 2

Netflix announced at New York Comic-Con this weekend the renewal of their series Lost in Space for a Season 2. Along with the news comes the first trailer for Season 2, which you can watch here below.
The network also announced the casting of JJ Feild (Turn, Turn Up Charlie) for the recurring guest role of Ben Adler, chief of advanced systems and artificial intelligence. Per Netflix, the character will be “Maureen’s academic contemporary but with what he’s experienced — bears more in common with her son, Will Robinson.”

Video: ‘Lost In Space’ Featurette “The Robinsons’ Journey”

A new featurette for Netflix’s upcoming Lost in Space reboot titled “The Robinsons’ Journey” has been released.
The featurette includes some of the cast and showrunner Zack Estrin talking about the show alongside various clips. Starring is Toby Stephen, Molly Parker, Taylor Russell, Mina Sundwall, Max Jenkins, Parker Posey, and Ignacio Serricchio. The series is written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless.

‘Lost In Space’ Trailer: Danger Finds A New Generation

“Danger, Will Robinson!” Netflix has released an lengthy all-new trailer for their reboot of Lost In Space. Based on the iconic 1965 show of the same name, the Netflix version will have an all new story, that comes with a very expensive visual effects price tag.

‘Lost In Space’ Reboot Coming To Netflix

Netflix has announced that a reboot of Irwin Allen’s hit ’60s science fiction TV series Lost in Space will be coming to the streaming service in the future.
Netflix has ordered a 10 episode first season of the Legendary TV series, which, like the original, will follow the Robinson family as they try to survive while being stranded on a planet that is light years away from their intended destination. The show is described as “equal parts family drama and sci-fi adventure, it is a survival story for the ages.”

Remember how good the J.J. Abrams reboot of Star Trek was? Remember how it took a 1960’s sci-fi show that lasted three seasons and updated it for a modern audience in a way that was both faithful to the original and exciting for newcomers? Good, because Lost In Space is here as a reminder of how easy it is to get all those things wrong.
As most box office buffs know, the movie is notable for being the film that finally ended Titanic’s number one reign at the box office. That might be the best thing I can say about this movie.
Laughable dialog (not in a good way), a meandering plot involving time travel, a bloated running time, and dated CGI really sink what is essentially an interesting premise. It’s the Swiss Family Robinson but in space. That idea intrigues me, but they really squandered what could have been a fun sci-fi flick.
