| ‘X-Men’ Spinoff ‘The New Mutants’ To Be A “Full-Fledged Horror” Film
Unlike the films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the X-Men ensembles have been pretty straightforward comic book flicks. The Wolverine and Logan had their own sub-genres while Deadpool was a comedic superhero film. Now The New Mutants, another spinoff, will take on a genre that’s never been seen in any of the X-Men films or spinoffs. Director Josh Boone says it will be a “full-fledged horror movie,” and that they are trying to do something much different. Also, Rosario Dawson is in talks to have a leadership role in the film. | ‘New Mutants’: Anya Taylor-Joy, Maisie Williams Join ‘X-Men’ Spinoff
If the X-Men film franchise had one problem, it’s that it cannot close out a trilogy. Rebooting has proven to be what the franchise needs to be reinvigorated and draw new audiences in. And spinoffs like Wolverine and Deadpool have also shown us that X-Men properties with mature content can be successful. But now it’s time for a new class of mutants to grace the big screen. With New Mutants currently in development and scheduled for an April 2018 release, the film has started casting key roles. | SXSW 2017: ‘Game Of Thrones’ Showrunners Tease Season 7 & 8 Details
With HBO announcing the premiere date for the highly anticipated seventh season of Game of Thrones, the series showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss joined an anxious crowd today at SXSW in Austin, TX, to talk about what’s to come. Normally, fans are treated to new seasons of the show in April soon after SXSW is held. However, due to a more intense filming schedule that required utilizing seasonal weather, we’re having to wait until July for Season 7. As such, to the folks attending this panel it felt much like a support group (e.g., “Hi my name is Tom, and it’s been 10 months since I consumed fresh episodes of Game Of Thrones.”)

Die hard Game of Thrones fans will know that there have been several instances throughout the run where well-known musicians made subtle appearances. And at SXSW 2017 today, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss revealed that this season is no different. While neither made mention of the exact episode or scene, it was confirmed on stage that musician and adult-Ron Weasley lookalike Ed Sheeran will be making his way to Essos.

| Trailer For Netflix Movie ‘iBoy’ Starring Bill Milner and Maisie Williams Of ‘Game Of Thrones’
A trailer has been released for a movie titled iBoy, which is a Netflix original. The movie stars Bill Milner and Maisie Williams, who is best known for her work playing Arya Stark on HBO’s Game of Thrones. The movie follows a teenager who survives a vicious attack on he and his friend, but not without it changing his life drastically. When he awakens from a coma, he discovers he has strange new abilities to get used to, abilities which he will use to get revenge on the attackers.
