Last week on AMC’s Preacher we finally peeked behind the curtain of The Grail. The Grail is religious cult-like organization with one mission: protect the Jesus Messiah mythos by circling the globe and annihilating all other “godly threats.” Last week, a floating pig in Vietnam was being worshipped by villagers and Herr Starr (Pip Torrens) arrived to clean the mess up. Torrens was electric last week as we watched his ascension from potential Grail employee to leader of the organization. Jesse (Dominic Cooper), Tulip (Ruth Negga), and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) are still in New Orleans searching for God, having dealt with the threat of the Saint of Killers (Graham McTavish)… for now. But all of them are preoccupied by their own personal demons to focus on the mission at hand.

Last week on Gotham, the Court of Owls voted to “cleanse” Gotham. Uncle Frank (James Remar) warned Jim (Ben McKenzie) before killing himself to push Jim forward in the Court’s eyes. He met with them. He also asked Barbara (Erin Richards) for help about the shipment on Dock 9C. A ninja sliced her men to protect it. Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) acted like a jerk to Ivy (Maggie Geha), who saved him despite that, when he put his trust in the wrong person. She suggested he form a team of “freaks” like them. The shaman opened Bruce’s (David Mazouz) mind and brought him back to the day his parents were killed. He told him he was important to Gotham.

Last week on Prison Break, there was civil war in Yemen, and the leader of ISIL was being kept in solitary on Ogygia, the jail where Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) was also being held. Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) sent proof of life to Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies), who talked it over with her husband. Michael planned an escape with his cellmates and sent origami messages to Sara and Lincoln. The latter had to find the “Sheikh of Light,” so he, C-Note and Sheba (Rockmond Dunbar, Inbar Lavi) rescued him, his daughter, and 2 other girls in ISIL territory. Michael got the signal – escape was in 24 hours. The leader was released from solitary and hugged Michael.
