After the three-game Mass Effect trilogy came to an emotional end recently—part sadness at the closing of Commander Shepard’s storyline; part anger at the poorly executed ending (which was made much better by the release of an extended cut)—it seemed we’d be waiting a bit before any word of future titles in the franchise were spoken of. That said, we all knew that Mass Effect 4 would be arriving some day.

But while the game is still far off in the distance (next generation consoles, in the likeliest of scenarios), BioWare has already begun early development on the title, and they’re looking for feedback from we the players to help them decide where exactly they want to take the next game.

You know something went wrong with your video game when tens of thousands of fans who were thrilled to finally play it ultimately ended up enraged and signing petitions to get the game’s ending fixed. This was the case with BioWare’s trilogy-maker, Mass Effect 3.

But, to their credit, BioWare took notice after all the negativity, and they promised to make some big changes for their fans to try and make it up to them. Those changes ending up becoming a nearly 2GB add-on called the Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut, which you can download for free right now if you’ve not already.

Now that the add-on has been released, you’ve been able to check it out, and some time has passed, there is only one question to be asked: are you satisfied with Mass Effect 3 in the end? Were you one of the many Mass Effect fans enraged by the highly questionable choices of BioWare in regard to the ending of their trilogy-maker, Mass Effect 3?
