
It’s been a while since it was reported that a remake was in the works for the 1989 horror film Pet Sematary. Now it looks as if this wasn’t some sick joke, but the honest-to-gods truth. The first movie was of course adapted from Stephen King‘s 1983 book of the same name.
Paramount Pictures has hired Matthew Greenberg to write the screenplay for the remake. Greenberg handled the writing duties for another King adaptation in 2007’s John Cusack thriller, 1408. Before that, he also wrote The Prophecy II, Halloween H20, and Reign of Fire.
