Air Date: Monday, May 16th, 2016, 9pm Last week on Bates Motel, Rebecca tried to get Romero (Nestor Carbonell) to confess while wearing a wire, but he caught on. Dylan and Emma (Max Thieriot and Olivia Cooke) were leaving, and Dylan tried one more time to get Norma (Vera Farmiga) to listen about Norman’s instability, at Romero’s urging. She refused to listen, and broke up with Alex for trying to get between her and her son. Norman (Freddie Highmore) found Emma’s mom’s suitcase and realized that they could not live in this world any longer. He lit the furnace and closed all the vents except for the room in which they were sleeping. Romero finds them and starts CPR on Norma, shredded by grief. Beware! Norman (Freddie Highmore) came home and Romero (Nestor Carbonell) had temporarily moved out, so she could ease Norman back in. There is awkwardness and tension between mother and son. Dylan and Emma (Max Thieriot and Olivia Cooke) went over for one last night before moving to Seattle. They all went to get a tree together, but Nora and Norman fought. He created a peephole in one of the motel rooms to spy on his mother and her husband. Rebecca got picked up by the DEA. Spoilers below.

That Norma (Vera Farmiga) told the doctor of the abuse at the hands of Norman’s father, which is why she had to protect Norman. The real Norma met with Chick (Ryan Hurst) and basically lost her s**t around him in front of Alex (Nestor Carbonell). She confessed about her brother, but Romero didn’t care. He loves her and wants to stay with her. Dylan (Max Thieriot) went to pack his stuff to move to Seattle, despite Norma being upset about it, and found the letter Emma’s mom left. Spoilers below.
